Ozon has opened 10,000 new drop-off points for sellers

More than 80,000 entrepreneurs now have a shipping point within walking distance of their warehouses. Now you can hand over your goods at more than 10,000 Ozon pick-up points in 2,500 settlements. The number of drop-off points will increase to 16,000 by September 1.

Ozon's network of pick-up points is operated by franchisee partners. In exchange for accepting shipments from sellers, these partners will receive a fixed reward in addition to their main compensation. The process of receiving goods from sellers does not require additional costs or efforts, but it does offer a stable source of additional income for partners. Having a spacious warehouse is the only important requirement for making an order pickup point also be a drop-off point for sellers.

The new shipping method is available for sellers who sell from their own warehouse. Previously, not everyone had a drop-off point near their warehouse. This innovation is especially important for small entrepreneurs in small towns. In the future, Ozon plans to open specialized points specifically for picking up orders — these will also be operated by franchisee partners. These points will be able to receive up to a thousand packages per day.

The process of shipping goods to a drop-off point is no different from the usual process at a sorting center, but it is faster and more convenient for the seller because it is close by.

Denis Dyachenko, Director of Partner Logistics Development:

"Thanks to the franchise model, we have created one of the largest networks of branded pick-up points across the entire country. Our customers already prize its benefits. It makes perfect sense to invite our sellers to make use of the network's wide geographic reach. This is the most beneficial model for everybody involved in the process: for partners, there is additional income; for sellers, there is a shipping point in the neighborhood; and for us, for business, there is the opportunity to more easily and more quickly attract sellers in remote regions, where there are still few large logistics facilities."

To ensure excellent service for both buyers and sellers, sellers' goods are accepted at pickup points in the first half of the day — from 10 AM to 3 PM, while the evening is freed up for buyers, since the end of the work day is typically the peak time for customers to pick up orders.
