Ozon launches localized store in Kazakhstan

The convenient service will expand its customer base in the republic

The launch of the localized store Ozon.kz will make placing orders convenient and will expand the company's target audience in Kazakhstan. The new store is adapted for customers in Kazakhstan: it displays only the products available there, and prices are indicated in the local currency (tenge). Full-fledged bilingual customer support is available. The store offers products both from Russian sellers and from entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan.

Buyers can receive an order from Ozon in any region of Kazakhstan: available delivery options include delivery to Ozon pickup points; courier delivery in Almaty, Astana and Karaganda; and delivery to more than 2,400 Kazpost post offices across the country. Thanks to the wide geographic reach of the pickup points, residents of remote regions of Kazakhstan can place online orders for any of the millions of goods available on the site.

"Kazakhstan is a strategically important region for Ozon. We have been actively investing in the region since 2021: we already set up two large warehouse complexes in Astana and Almaty. Opening a localized version of the website not only offers the convenience of making purchases on the marketplace, but also creates a great long-term opportunity to connect financial services that are popular among buyers, such as loans and payment by instalments. We already have an active target audience in Kazakhstan. We hope that the new technical launch will let us to further expand that target audience in Kazakhstan," said Molder Rysalieva, Ozon's General Director in Kazakhstan.
