Anton Stepanenko, Chief Technology Officer at Ozon, commented:
“Ozon's business started in 1998 in St. Petersburg. It was here that Russia’s oldest online retailer was created, and today it has become a leader of the fast-growing e-commerce market. Without a doubt, some of the country’s best IT specialists work in St. Petersburg. For that reason, we immediately considered opening an office in the northern capital when planning the development of Ozon Tech in the Russian regions.”
Ozon's IT specialists are involved in all of the Company’s business processes. St. Petersburg-based employees are engaged in data analytics, the development of the Company’s warehouse management and logistics systems and trading platform, and various other initiatives.
In 2020, Ozon was among the top three IT companies in Russia which job applicants noted as the most recognizable and attractive on the market (according to the HeadHunter.ru portal). The company currently employs more than 1,400 IT specialists.
