The ranking evaluates franchises across five criteria: average annual revenue per point, ROI (ratio of profitability or loss), payback period, profitability, and quantitative growth of the partner network for nine months of 2022 (the difference between opened and closed points).
Ozon is building a network of branded pick-up points by offering franchises to partners. To date, more than 16,000 outlets have been opened in the country. 98% of them are operated by business partners. Moreover, pick-up points are the most popular delivery option for customers. More than 85% of customers have their orders delivered to pick-up points.
Unlike with a traditional franchise, Ozon partners do not pay royalties, lump sums, or startup fees. The average investment to open an order pick-up point is 150-200 thousand rubles and depends on the cost of rent in the city where point is to be opened. Ozon provides partners with all the branded and promotional materials free of charge. The partner's main task is to find and equip premises that meet the company's standards: 15 square meters of space, a customer area of at least 5 square meters, renovations to add branding for urban locations, and a basic set of equipment, as well as a minimum branding for points in villages and towns.
Today, more than 50% of Russian citizens have Ozon pick-up points within a 10-minute walk. The partner's income is based on the total sales at the point. Ozon pays a certain percentage, depending on the plan chosen.
